About Us

Hello!

We are Tony and Jasmin, full-time working parents to a beautiful child named Addie. We live in Southern California, where we both also grew up, and we love raising our little girl here – the year-round sunshine just cannot be beaten. 

However, that also means we live in an area with a high cost of living, which has made for some fun budgeting when it comes to our house and lifestyle. 

When Addie was born, we lived in a space that was just a little over 300 sq ft. We thought we had all the things we needed for her arrival – we carefully researched and were proud of our creative efforts with “small space” options, but we still got utterly overwhelmed. 

It felt like day after day, we just kept buying more and more STUFF for her. Some of them earned their keep and more, and others – well, let’s not dwell on where that money could’ve gone toward instead. 

We have moved into a bigger home now, but we still don’t have enough (or any yard) space to go all out on toddler entertainment. 

Being space- and budget-conscious means we only want to fill our home with quality products that serve their intended purpose well. 

And so, here at The Kid Setup, we want to share with you a guide of all the baby/toddler products that have worked for us (or not) on our parenthood journey so far, and we hope you’ll find it useful for yours.
